J&B Rare Blended Scotch Whisky is a great blended whisky which contains around 40 whiskies. Some of the famous malts that are included are from Knockando and Tamdhu and North British grain. Only 1% of this blended whisky is from Islay.

The colour of the whisky is pale gold. When you smell J&B rare you will smell oak, lemon, cherries, caramel and toffee. And of courses you will be able to smell a peat smell. In tasting this whisky you will get a hint of apples and there is a slight smoky taste. Citrus will also be tasted. The finish you will find as very smoky which can last for minutes and spices will not be far away.

Would say this is an excellent Scotch Whisky that should not be missed. It has so much character and body. It is lost it popularity over the years, but in my book it's on of the best blends around and for the price of under £20 it's a real still at this price. J&B history is long and distinct and started back in 1760 when George Johnson and Giacomo Justerini (husband and wife) started to make a wine merchant business. It was not till 1779 that the first record of J&B was recorded. At this stage the name of J&B was Usquebaugh and was not called J & B till 1930.

The whisky itself is a mostly made from Speyside Malt Whiskies with the Knockando, Strathmill, Glen Spey and Tamdhu Single Malts all have a presents within R&B. There are also a few fine grain whiskies added and this leave you will the smooth character of J&B Rare that be have grown to love.
