George Dickel No12 Tennessee Whisky
Information regarding George Dickel No12 Tennessee Whisky
George Dickel is a small batch Tennessee Whisky and is a great whisky to have whenever you feel like a dram. With this being a small batch better quality control can be done and the whisky is always the finest quality. George Dickel is like every other American Whisky and is starts out as mash. The mash mixture is allowed to ferment. After this process it is double distilled to about 160 proof, then it is put through a charcoal filtration system. George Dickel is the only Tennessee whisky to chill the whisky first with this filtration process. It is then put into the cask for aging for a minimum of eight years.
After this the whisky is ready and comes at 45% which is ideal for adding water or ice as it is stronger than a 'normal' whisky which comes in around 40%.
The flavour is sweet and the smell is of grain and oak. You can also taste caramel and vanilla. The finish has a lovely bite to it, but very smooth. It is well worth the after feeling. It is also said that this whisky is best when left to air for a few minutes and to swirl the glass about to let the flavour come out totally.
Also with this whisky being easy affordable brand and with the high quality of the product it is a great sipping whisky. It has a price in the UK of around £34 and can be delivered worldwide. More details are below regarding buying this whisky, but if you stay in American you are better off to purchase this locally.
