Eagle Rare is a very smooth Kentucky Bourbon which is aged for 17 years and comes from single barrel bottling. Eagle Rare was bottled finally in October 2005 after the 17 year ageing process had finished. The colour is of red and gold and shows the maturity of the whisky. The smell you receive from the bourbon is one of dried fruit and the taste is of maple syrup and vanilla cream with a hint of cinnamon and mint. The bourbon does have a dry start to it a bit like sherry, but the finish is very warming although it still has a dry feel to it.
