Connemara Irish Whisky is created at the Cooley distillery and was built to rival the Bushmills Distillery if that was possible. The whisky that comes out of the distillery is superb and is fast on the heels of the Bushmills and is growing in stature very quickly. Over the years there have been many bids to buy this distillery for the reason of putting Cooley out of business. The Cooley distillery produces a full range of single malt whiskies like Locke's, Magilligan and Tyrconnell and blended whiskies like Inishowen, Kilbeggan and Millar's. They have even tried a single grain whisky Greenore.

The distillery will go from strength to strength just because the market is out there for Connemara and it is a real success story for a distillery that has only been around since the early 1980's.
